Sweet Peppers Deli Expands Into Tennessee

Sweet Peppers Deli Franchise Systems, LLC is opening its first out-of-state franchise restaurant in Memphis, Tenn., next month. The franchise was purchased by John Godwin, Adam Paxton and William Stine of Tupelo, and Sweet Peppers - Memphis is slated for opening in mid-April.

The Memphis location is the second franchise sold by Sweet Peppers. The first franchise was opened in Hattiesburg last January, and the company said it expects a third franchise in Little Rock, Ark., to open before the end of the year.

Sweet Peppers Deli Franchise Systems is owned by Mississippi restaurateurs John, Bernard and Myrrl Bean and Robin Fant, who created Sweet Peppers in 1997. Three company-owned delis in Columbus, Starkville and Tupelo served as the prototype for franchising the concept.
